About us

Who we are

Established in 2006, Helping 2 Hands The AR Foundation is a non-profit voluntary organization. It works for the welfare and empowerment of underprivileged and deprived children, women, elderly, and physically challenged individuals by enriching their lives and giving them access to education, health, and livelihood skills.

Helping 2 Hands The AR Foundation is an NGO enabler working with several, other NPOs & NGOs, and individuals in areas of education, empowerment, health & disabilities. We at Helping 2 Hands The AR Foundation believe in the age-old adage about teaching people to fish rather than giving them the fish. We have worked with experts to develop innovative programs to skill and re-skill the youth and their families to be able to not only access employment opportunities but also to become entrepreneurs, grow themselves, and eventually become a source of employment for the community.

All the programs focus on skill development, language skills, mentoring, and market linkages. The Foundation has also developed special programs to mentor and support women entrepreneurs and women self-help. Quite a majority of our beneficiaries are parents and families of the children involved in our education initiatives.

One of the biggest issues communities face is a lack of access to affordable and reliable healthcare. The lack of proper healthcare coupled with less than ideal living conditions results in disease outbreaks and infections which spread rapidly. Foundation works with other groups, foundations, and organizations to identify communities or individuals who need help and organize assistance programs.
